IFBB pro bodybuilder Nathan Epler takes us grocery shopping for some of his bodybuilding diet staple foods as he preps for the 2021 Mr. Olympia.
Nutrition is an essential part of reaching your bodybuilding physique goals, but dieting can be a challenging thing to master. Use Nathan Epler’s grocery shopping and nutrition tips below to help you stay on track with your bodybuilding diet.
Pro Tip 1: Don't go to the grocery store hungry.
Pro Tip 2: Buy in bulk from stores like Costco or Sam's Club for meats, eggs, egg whites, and veggies. Save stores like Walmart and Kroger for smaller grocery items, like condiments.
Pro Tip 3: Use pre-made chicken strips for when you're on the go and busy or in a pinch when you run out of chicken and don't have time to cook a meal. Having readymade foods on standby helps keep you on track when you don't have your diet foods readily available.
Pro Tip 4: Eating clean looks pricey but really isn't when you break it down and do things like buy foods in bulk.
